Tramadol has to be taken orally. Take it with ir without food. Ingest a whole tablet of Tramadol without chewing or sucking it. Do not miss doses. If this medicine is prescribed for you, take it even if you do not feel pain.
Tramadol Safety Information
In case of missing a dose you should not take it later. Simply follow your regular schedule and take the next dose when it's time for it. Never take a double dose at one time.
Keep Tramadol protected from moisture, heat and light. Keep this product in place inaccessible for children, away from pets. Store Tramadol at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Short term storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is possible.
You should not be treated with Tramadol if you experience: diarrhea, caused by antibiotic treatment; allergy to any Zyban components; alcohol, narcotics or opioids intoxication (for example, codeine, morphine); intoxication from sleeping or sedative preparations (for example, zoldipem, temazepam) or any other medications. Do not use Tramadol in case of carbamazepine, nefazodone, or sodium oxybate (GHB) treatment. If you experience any of these incidences, inform your health care specialist about it.
Tramadol Side Effects
Among the side effects, that can be caused be Tramadol usage are sleepiness and vertigo.
These effects may be added and worsen in case if you use Tramadol simultaneously with certain medicines (in particular, muscle relaxers and sleeping medicines) and with alcohol. Use this product with caution and do not drink alcohol or use medicines, listed above. Consult with your pharmacist to find out what other medicines may result sleepiness. Alcohol, fever, physical work outs, alcohol, high temperatures, also may increase vertigo, caused by Tramadol. Lie or sit down each time you start feeling dizzy. In the morning sit up and stand carefully. Do the same each time you change your position from lying to sitting, etc. Do not drive. Operate machinery or get involved in any activities, requiring high level of attention until you know your reaction to this product. Inform your doctor or dentist about Tramadol usage before any emergency, dental, or medical care. Be sure to tell your doctor you use Tramadol in case of surgery need. Children under 16 years should not be treated with Tramadol. Positive results and safety for this category of patients have not been studied. Elderly patients should use Tramadol carefully as well, they can be very sentient to this treatment and its side effects.
Contact your health care specialist in case if the most common side-effects, such as appetite loss; increased sweating, constipation, nausea, diarrhea, vertigo, sleepiness become bothersome or persistent.
Immediately contact your doctor in case of experiencing hard allergic reactions (itching; tightness in the chest; hives; rash; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); difficulty breathing; fainting; agitation; fever; incoordination; muscle stiffness or tremor; seizures.
If you are pregnant or if you have plans for pregnancy, consult with your doctor about Tramadol usage. Tramadol has been detected to cause harmful effect to the fetus. You will need a serious consultation about the benefits and risks of using Tramadol. Do not breast-feed while taking Tramadol. This product has been detected in breast milk.
Tramadol should be used only in case of doctor's prescription. Do not share it with others.
